A performance audit of King County Animal Care and Control (ACC) was mandated by the King County Council in response to concerns about ACC shelter services and data reliability. The overall audit objective was to determine the extent to which the existing data systems, policies, and procedures are appropriately used to manage and carry out shelter operations, improve performance, and promote transparency and accountability.

King County Elections Operations (Consultant) (2005)
The Election Center

In May 2005, the County Council approved the County Auditor's recommendation to contract with The Election Center to conduct the management audit of elections operations. The scope of this audit was to identify current administrative, procedural, organizational, and systemic deficiencies within the Election Section of the King County Records, Elections, and Licensing Services Division, and to recommend needed service improvements and operations enhancements to minimize errors and ensure timely and appropriate response to errors in the administration of future elections. The report was presented at the council's Committee of the Whole meeting on October 3, 2005.
