The audit objectives were to determine whether the Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention is cost-effectively managing its staffing, overtime, and compensatory time costs for post staffing; to review the department's policies and practices relating to scheduling of employee leave, compensatory time, training, holiday time, etc., to understand how they affect overtime use; and to evaluate whether current overtime use practices have cost impacts that could be mitigated or avoided, or which may merit further study. Adult Detention Jail Costs Follow-up Study (2003)
