It's time to refine your techniques: Spend a week with skilled King County GIS Center practitioners and learn how to get the most out of your GIS software and data. Our instructors will share their knowledge and help build your skills in a small-class-size, hands-on environment. GIS Academy is not just a collection of classes, but an integrated work-problem-based curriculum designed to help you develop your ability while you apply your skills to a week-long class project. By Friday, you will have gone well beyond the basics, with new confidence to tackle more challenging assignments with enhanced productivity.

GISCI Professional Certification Points: Most GIS Training Express classes are eligible for educational achievement points awarded by the GIS Certification Institute. Point values are indicated at the bottom of the catalog page for each class.
KCGIS Custom Training has been designed to complement the academic education and GIS software training that most GIS professionals and users begin with. The KCGIS experience has been that custom designed modular training is an effective means to enhance the productivity of GIS users, analysts, and data maintainers. The GIS Training Express program provides for ongoing and relevant GIS education, to empower current and potential GIS community members as proactive spatial thinkers who can visualize their data, support better decision-making, and deliver superior public service using GIS tools.
