Overview

In this class students will learn to explore and manipulate data stored in stand alone business tables and how to establish a relationship with that data in a GIS. The information provided by the King County Assessor will provide and extended example.

Audience

Unleash the Power of Business Tables: A Case Study with Assessor Data is for those who have a basic understanding of table structures and want to learn about exploring data, table relationships and how to use standalone tables in a GIS.

Goals

  • Students will learn how to explore data using ArcGIS 9.x – specifically, King County Assessor data.
  • Students will build an Access database for data storage and manipulation.
  • Students will learn how to establish table relationships with GIS data.
