TNET Data TNET is a GIS transportation network database that incorporates polyline data representing the best approximation to ground truth transportation features. The data layer spans King county and to a limited extent, Snohomish and Pierce counties, serving the business interests of cross-boundary jurisdictions and transportation planning departments. The database design is based on the ESRI UNETRANS (Unified NEtwork and TRANSportation) model, introducing new elements required for TNET Consortium agencies’ business needs, such as transportation mode, turn restrictions, traffic flow directionality, speed limits and weight and height restrictions. The design is subject to periodic review by Consortium members. TNET database design (794kb PDF) For a large-format version of the dbase design on CD please contact us.
The database is continually updated utilizing the best source data, including the most current digital orthophotography available (at present: 2009 natural color ½ ft and 1 ft GSD raster sets). Ongoing maintenance by TNET Consortium members includes geocodable alleyways and special attention has been paid to a wide range of transportation modes including rail, ferry, pedestrian, bicycle and equestrian trails delivering a current multi-modal transportation network. |
