Non-KCGIS Vector Data

Data acquired from non-King County agencies and organizations; for internal King County use only.

KCGIS Intranet Spatial Data Catalog
(INTERNAL LINK ONLY)
includes metadata for non-KCGIS vector data

The King County Spatial Data Warehouse contains data from many sources outside of King County government. King County has acquired these data sets via formal and informal data sharing arrangements with cities, adjacent counties, state and federal agencies, and non-governmental orgnanizations. These data sharing arrangements allow both King County and participating entities to use each other's data, making GIS a more effective information and mapping tool for all involved.

Non-KCGIS data and metadata are used "as is," and are not edited or maintained by KCGIS. Non-KCGIS data are for internal use only; King County does not redistribute data that it receives from outside sources.

The public can contact Greg Stought (206-263-4868) or Mike Leathers (206-263-4867) in the KCGIS Center to obtain contact information for external data resources. Not all sources may be able to share GIS information or data, and there may be a cost associated with obtaining data from the listed sources.
