Executive Triplett hosts joint annual forum for King County Unincorporated Area Councils
King County Executive Kurt Triplett joined with co-host, the Four Creeks Unincorporated Area Council, in hosting the 2009 joint annual forum. The evening meeting brings together the six recognized King County Unincorporated Area Councils (UACs) and members of the community to meet with the executive and key county staff to discuss accomplishments as well as new and continuing priorities for the unincorporated areas of the county.
The forum took place on July 15, 2009 at the May Valley Alliance Church, 16431 SE Renton-Issaquah Road, Renton. Several county departments and agencies set up displays to provide brochures and information about King County services.
Each of the six UACs offered presentations on the issues of greatest concern to their communities, followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion with the audience.
The six King County UACs include the Greater Maple Valley Area Council, North Highline Unincorporated Area Council, Upper Bear Creek Community Council, Vashon-Maury Island Community Council, West Hill Community Council and the co-host of this year's forum, the Four Creeks Unincorporated Area Council.
