ABT Program: Better information for better government

 
King County is in the process of adopting a new business model that will deliver efficiencies within the county and more effective services to county residents. The Accountable Business Transformation Program (ABT Program) is developing this model that offers new business processes for financial, human resources, payroll, benefits and budget operations. Program update - Spring 2008

We recently completed the ABT Program’s High Level Business Design (HLBD) which is the third stage of the program’s five stages. During the HLBD, we held work sessions with county designated employees, who we called Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), in the areas of finance, human resources, payroll and benefits. The ABT Program staff collected business process information from these functional areas and when feasible, demonstrated to the SMEs how their business process would be addressed by Oracle and PeopleSoft modules.
