OIRM

The King County Office of Information Resource Management (OIRM) provides IT services to the public and the county’s agencies. It ensures a common technology vision, planning, oversight and management of information technology in the county. The county has established four goals that illustrate the long-term values it has regarding use of technology to serve the public:

  • Efficiency
  • Public access and customer service
  • Transparency and accountability for decisions
  • Risk management

OIRM is excited to announce the availability of the Booking and Referral System. Also known as BARS or eSuperform, this application will automate the exchange of information from regional law enforcement agencies with the county when a suspect is booked into a county jail, or when a criminal felony case is referred to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office. The BARS project is a component of King County's long-term Law, Safety and Justice Integration Program.

10/1/2007 Go-live for King County's regional portal, the security gateway that provides regional access to BARS
10/10/2007 Go-live for BARS Beta, a production version of BARS eSuperform available for regional access
10/11/2007 Initiation of regional training for BARS eSuperform
12/1/2007 to
3/31/2008		 Operational Live date for BARS eSuperform, Jail Intake Queue, and Prosecutor Case Queues
12/1/2007 Planned transition period for regional adoption of BARS by all law enforcement agencies
4/15/2008 Tentative implementation date for BARS Jail Booking Queue and District Court filing
