Medicare

Medicare is a health insurance program for people 65 years of age and older, some disabled people under 65 years of age, and people with End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure treated with dialysis or a transplant). Medicare is divided into two parts: Part A (hospital) insurance; and Part B (medical) insurance.

If you are not eligible for Medicare, you may be eligible for Basic Health Plan.

    If you would like assistance over the phone or need an interpreter, call the Community Health Access Program (CHAP) at: 1-800-756-5437. CHAP retains interpreters for the following languages: French, Swahili, Rwandian, Kirundi, Amharic, Cambodian, Chinese, Korean, Laotian, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, Ukrainian, Russian, Vietnamese as well as others.
