Washington research agenda
The network's core research interests were defined through surveys of the field, and discussions with the statewide Executive Committee, with an eye towards the cross-jurisdictional public health practice issues relevant to frontline public health service delivery. The network supports potential investigations that span a wide range of activities – from traditional infectious disease and environmental health programs, to strategies that address emerging issues of preparedness, healthy eating/active living, and social determinants of health.
We welcome additional proposed research topics and questions within the following broad areas:
- Impact of Public Health Laws & Regulations
- Public Health Workforce Capacity, Leadership and Diversity
- Funding and Financing of Public Health
- Variation and Best Practices in Public Health Disciplines (Communicable Disease, Chronic Disease Prevention, Environmental Health, Health Promotion, Health Communication)
- Addressing Health Inequities Among Under-Served
- Public Health Systems Development & Organization
