Transition period between the current King County regulation and the national statute.
The Board of Health regulation #08-02 was amended as of June 19, 2010. The intent of the amendment is to allow a transition period for chain restaurants to maintain current methods of posting calorie and nutrition information while transitioning to the new federal requirements. Please refer to the documents below for more specific information on what will be acceptable during the transition. A timeline has not yet been established for implementation of national statute for menu labeling.
