KING COUNTY, WA – Public Health - Seattle & King County has announced that its Community Environmental Health section will be moving to Renton from the current office location at Eastgate. The new office will be located at 900 Oakesdale Ave. SW, Renton, and will share space with the Department of Development and Environmental Services (DDES).
Services provided in the Community Environmental Health Section include Sewage Disposal/Platting and Land Development, Drinking Water, and Plumbing and Gas Piping. These services are closely tied to other land-based permitting programs within DDES. The co-location with DDES will place these services under one roof, providing convenient one-stop permitting services to clients and enabling improved communication and collaboration among staff from both agencies. Customers whose permitting needs come from both agencies will no longer need to travel to two sites.
To accommodate the move, Eastgate Environmental Health will be closed on Friday, November 14 and Monday, November 17. The new offices in Renton will open at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18.
