KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON - Everyone arrested during protests against the World Trade Organization meeting has received appropriate health screening and treatment per standard protocols. Some of these assessments were delayed due to resistance from arrestees; however, all screenings were ultimately accomplished.

Public Health staff have treated many arrestees for the effects of tear gas. They have referred two arrestees to be transported to Harborview Medical Center for additional medical care; one of these had a seizure, and another had a wound that required suturing.

Public Health medical staff remain on-call to handle additional medical needs of arrestees.
