Instructions to submit a Public Records Request

Tuesday, March 2, 1999

KING COUNTY, WA - An estimated $3 million will be entrusted to Seattle's HIV/AIDS Planning Council to fund HIV prevention activities for calendar years 2000-2001. To determine how to prioritize these funds, the Planning Council's Prioritization Sub-committee will hold public meetings to develop a prioritization plan for review by the full Council in May. Meetings are open to all, and public comment periods are included at the beginning and conclusion of each meeting's agenda.

The HIV/AIDS Planning Council, a 30-member community planning body established in 1993, determines how certain federal, state, and local funds are used for HIV/AIDS prevention and care efforts in King County. The Planning Council has assembled an 18-member Prioritization Subcommittee comprised of Council members and County residents representing both targeted recipients and providers of HIV/AIDS prevention efforts. This Subcommittee will advise the Council as to how funds shall be allocated to particular at-risk populations for calendar years 2000-2001.

Prioritization meetings will be held on Mondays, March 8 through April 26, from 9AM to 1PM. They will be held at St. Mark's Cathedral on Capitol Hill - 1245 10th Avenue East - in the second floor conference room of the Cathedral Administrative Offices (at the rear of the cathedral, off the South parking lot).

Input may also be given to the Prioritization Subcommittee via:

  • Mail (Planning Council, 400 Yesler Way, 3rd Floor, Seattle, WA 98104);
  • Voice mail at (206) 205-5511
