Selection of Health Professional Member (including Report of Selection Committee) (Action Item) (The term of one of the three health professional members expired 12/31/98 and the Board will be selecting the individual to fill this position. The incumbent, Dr. Al Thompson, is one of the applicants.) |

Resolution No. 98-304 Recommending that the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Infection Be Made a Reportable Condition in Washington State (including Report of Ad Hoc Committee on HIV Surveillance Issues) (Action Item) The Board will determine the position on HIV case reporting that it will communicate to the State Board of Health. The Board will hear the recommendations of the local work group that has been seeking common ground on this issue, will hear the recommendations of the Board's Ad Hoc Committee on HIV Surveillance which take into consideration the work of the "common ground" group, and will vote on a resolution stating the Board's position. It is anticipated that there will be revisions to Resolution 98-304, which was originally proposed in October 1998. |
