2009 King County furlough day site closures
To help close King County's budget gap, most Public Health offices, Public Health Centers and services are closed during 10 King County furlough days in 2009. Read the King County Executive's press release for details. The following are King County's 10 furlough days in 2009:
- Friday, Jan. 2, 2009
- Friday, Feb. 13, 2009
- Friday, April 10, 2009
- Friday, May 22, 2009
- Friday, June 19, 2009
- Monday, July 6, 2009
- Friday, Sept. 4, 2009
- Monday, Oct. 12, 2009
- Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009
- Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009
Public Health sites and services that will remain open include:
- King County Medical Examiner's Office
- King County Medic One
- Jail Health Services
- School-based teen health centers, school-based dental sealant program, and SNAC education program
- The STD Clinic at Harborview Medical Center will be open, however counseling and some testing procedures may not be available during furlough days. For additional questions about STD clinic availability, please call 206-744-3590.
- The Public Health Laboratory will be closed on furlough days, but lab specimens may be dropped off in the drop-box at the front door between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
