Get a call from the police reporting an illegal drug lab.
Record information from law enforcement:
Drug lab address
Location of chemicals and equipment
Presence of children
Method of manufacturing
Conduct site inspection.
Address immediate Public Health threats
Identify signs of lab activity
Identify any potentially contaminated water and soil
Post the site with public warnings pending additional evaluation.
Assess site data from all sources:
Law enforcement
Site visit
Ecology, Fire
Determine if property is fit or unfit for occupancy:
UNFIT FOR OCCUPANCY:
Red tag the property.

The Health Department lacks sufficient evidence or information to conclude that the property is unfit for occupancy.
Next steps:
Call the property owner.
Send follow up letter to the property owner and other interested parties with summary of findings. Additional testing and clean-up may be recommended.
