Complaints not handled by Public Health
  • Seattle residents: The City of Seattle operates an illegal dumping hotline and Web site. If you live in the Seattle, call 206-684-7587 to report garbage or debris dumped on public property, such as a city roadsides, open streets and paved alleys.
  • Dog droppings: The Seattle Animal Shelter responds to complaints about dog droppings on private property. To file a complaint about dog droppings in Seattle call 206-684-7387 or visit their website.
  • Public property in King County: Illegal dumping of garbage or debris dumped on county owned and maintained property such as roads-right-away can be reported to the King County Solid Waste illegal dumping hotline 206-296-SITE (7483) or toll free at 1-866-431-7483, TTY Relay: 711 or visit their website.
