Family Planning health education
Public Health educators in the Family Planning program provide:
- Sexual health education training for teachers
- Support in providing F.L.A.S.H. (Family Life and Sexual Health), a medically accurate and comprehensive sexuality education curriculum for grades 5-12 and special education students
- Co-teaching and modeling for new teachers
- Technical assistance for school districts on sexual health curricula

Fireflies Newsletter
Developed by Northwest Fireflies and Public Health's Emergency Medical Services, these are excellent and fun training tools to download and print to teach children basic safety skills to help prevent injuries.

Health insurance for children
Washington Apple Health for Kids provides free or low-cost coverage for eligible children under 19 years old. Income guidelines recently increased, meaning more children qualify. Download flyers and applications in multiple languages. Outreach workers are available to assist King County families with Apple Health or Basic Food applications, and to link families with medical and dental care. In addition, we provide trainings, updates and outreach materials.

HIV/STD program
The HIV/STD program coordinates and collaborates with health care organizations, universities, community-based groups and other Public Health programs to provide essential prevention, research and care services.

Offers clinical dental resource information, statistics, trainings, consultations, oral health education and curriculum information, and limited preventive services to school districts, agencies and communities throughout Seattle and King County.

Resources for improving your school nutrition environment and supporting your school wellness policy. Provides convenient, up-to-date school nutrition resources for administrators, teachers, students and parents. Topics areas include: grant opportunities; healthy fundraising; recess before lunch resources; school wellness policy-implementation and evaluation; school gardens and best practices.

Resources for improving your school physical activity environment and for supporting your school wellness policy. Provides up-to-date physical activity resources for administrators, teachers, students and parents. Topics areas include: grant opportunities, local programs that partner with schools, evaluation, Web sites for students, best practices, and more.

Seattle Nutrition Action Consortium (SNAC)
SNAC's mission is to improve the health and nutritional well being of limited income families with children in Seattle and King County. SNAC promotes the good taste of healthy food and encourages families to eat meals together. |

Partnering with the H.E.R.E in Washington website, Public Health - Seattle & King County co-created a searchable database to allow you to locate free and low cost printed materials from a variety of agencies and nonprofit organizations. Each entry has been reviewed by a team of public health professionals. Review comments are included, along with supplier information and a downloadable PDF file, if available.
