The Public Health Community Health Indicators Project is a set of indicators measuring the health of King County residents.
It was developed to provide a broad array of comprehensive, population-based data to community-based organizations, community health centers, public agencies, policymakers and the general public. Community Health Indicators were conceived as a follow-up to the 2002 Institute of Medicine report, The Future of the Public’s Health in the 21st Century, which emphasizes relying on data about the entire community to look at multiple determinants of health.
We encourage you to also visit the new and innovative King County Aims High website, which includes not only health data, but other indicators across all King County agencies. Aims High is part of an ongoing effort to increase transparency and accountability in county government.
