Important information for parents about adolescent vaccines Important information for parents about adolescent vaccines

As kids get older, protection from some of their childhood vaccines can begin to wear off. Adolescents are also at higher risk for other serious, but preventable, diseases. Keep them healthy by staying up-to-date with vaccines especially recommended for their age. Doctors recommend several vaccines starting at the 11-12 year check-up. Download flyers below (PDF):

Where to get vaccinated
  • Regular health care providers provide childhood immunizations.
  • Public Health centers provide childhood vaccines on a sliding fee scale. No child is turned away without receiving the required vaccines due to an inability to pay.
