This campaign was created by Entre Hermanos, the True Stories Project, and members of the Latino community in King County together with Public Health - Seattle & King County's HIV/STD Program. Our goal is to increase HIV testing among Latinos and Latinas so that we can diagnose cases early, get people on medication when they need it most, and reduce new HIV infections.
As members of the Latino community share how they care for themselves, their loved ones and their community, find out how routine HIV testing is an essential part of their health care.
Viewers are encouraged to go to hivtest.org to find an HIV test nearest them. Locally, you can find an HIV test by visiting our HIV testing webpage.
We are counting on community members and agencies to post the video on their websites, Facebook pages, Twitter feeds, blogs, and forward the link to people on their email contact lists. Contact Brett Niessen at 206-205-6105, brett.niessen@kingcounty.gov for more information about the campaign or if you'd like your name and logo added to the list of supporters. For Spanish speakers, contact Marcos Martinez at 206-322-7700, marcos@entrehermanos.org. It's a fun, free way to take part in the campaign.
