Get active your way

Here are some ideas and links to more information to help you and your family get started being more physically active.

Quick tips for getting physically active:
  • Try something new! Lawn bowling at Jefferson Park or Woodland Park is a great way for anyone 10 or older to be active outdoors.
  • Limit children's TV and computer time.
  • Start a walking group at your worksite and walk during your lunch break.
  • Get off a stop or two early when you ride the bus and enjoy the extra few minutes of walking.
  • Take the stairs instead of the elevator. It's a quick way to add physical activity to your day.
