Reclaiming Futures

Reclaiming Futures is a national model to improve substance abuse treatment and outcomes for youth. The model assures that the best screening and assessment is provided to youth and tracks whether the youth received the type of treatment recommended from the assessment. It follows a youth into treatment to assure the treatment is appropriately working. If the treatment is not working, Reclaiming Futures works to help youth get referred to appropriate care. The model mandates that each youth have positive activities and adults in their lives.

This model has been focused on youth involved with alcohol, drugs and crime. However, it may also have a positive effect on all youth struggling with the problems of drug and alcohol use before they commit a crime. For more information go to www.reclaimingfutures.org
