Chemical Abuse and Dependency Service Provider Support Page

This page is designed to furnish information to the King County chemical dependency provider network.

The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document addresses several commonly asked questions from contracted providers of chemical abuse and dependency treatment services. Questions and answers are broken into categories for easier navigation. Answers are as clear and accurate as possible but additional clarification is always available by contacting your county contract monitor.

The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was constructed to improve the availability of chemical abuse and dependency treatment services to DCFS involved parents. The linked documents explain the process and contain the necessary forms to access services.

DCFS MOA and Attachments

Update 11/8/2010 - King County has been informed by Children’s Administration (CA) that the CA Chemical Dependency Professional (CDP) funding was eliminated effective December 1, 2010 due to budget reductions at CA.

The DCFS MOA has been revised to reflect the elimination of this position and its effect on the referral and treatment process for DCFS-involved parents.

If you need assistance with a DCFS-involved case, please contact either the assigned Social Worker or your CD Contract Monitor.
