Evidence-based Programs

The King County Mental Health Plan provides funding for two evidence-based programs serving juvenile offenders in King County. Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) and Functional Family Therapy (FFT) provides youth and their families with intensive, community based treatment after sentencing. Youth learn how to increase social skills, methods of anger control, and strategies to cope with anger-provoking situations. Their families also learn new coping skills in order to improve managing their challenging youth during problematic situations.

The MST programs serve approximately 100 youth per year. The FFT programs serve approximately 50 youth per year.

More information at MST and FFT.
