Overview of Independent Living and Housing ServicesThe King County Developmental Disabilities Division (KCDDD) housing staff work in partnership with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) to refer people to affordable housing and to prevent people from becoming homeless. The KCDDD also provides capital funding for the development of new affordable independent living and housing for persons with developmental disabilities through the Housing Innovations for Persons with Developmental Disabilities Program (HIPDD).
