Early Intervention Services
Early Intervention (EI) Services and Supports, which are also referred to as Birth-to-Three Services, are intended to: - Help your family build knowledge and skills to meet the developmental and health needs of your child, birth to three years old, with special needs
- Offer your family opportunities to meet other families, to support one another, discuss problems, share information and resources
- Help your family with the practical and emotional challenges that may come with having a child with special needs
- Help your family learn more about using community resources, services and connecting to the community
- Support your family as your child transitions from EI services into other community based programs.
Services available include: - Assistive technology devices and services
- Audiology
- Early identification, screening and evaluation services
- Family training, counseling and home visits
- Medical services for diagnostic or evaluation purposes only
- Nursing services which might be required for developmental services
- Nutrition services
- Occupational therapy
- Physical therapy
- Psychological services
- Services coordination (Family Resource Coordination)
- Social work services
- Special Instruction
- Speech-Language Pathology
- Transportation costs necessary to enable a child/family to receive services
- Vision services
