Effective immediately, Environmental Health Services (EH) are no longer available at Northshore Public Health Center. EH services for East King County are now served by the Eastgate Public Health Center in Bellevue. For information about EH services and other locations, go to www.kingcounty.gov/health/ehs or call Environmental Health at 206-205-4394.As of December 11, 2009, Northshore Public Health Center will no longer provide Family Planning Services. This change is required by King County to help close the 2010 budget gap. WIC, Maternity Support Services, Application Worker and Interpreter Services will continue to be available. Public Health Application Workers can assist you over the phone or in person with filling out a medical application or a form.

Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN)
Assist in planning and obtaining medical care and other resources for the child with a disability or a condition that may prevent normal growth and development.

Home visits by a Public Health Nurse
Public Health Nurse visits are available to pregnant women, mothers with new babies and young children and families with health or parenting concerns. Services include health assessment, education and counseling and referral. Interpreters are available. Medical social workers are available on a limited basis.

Interpreter services
Interpreter services are available to limited or non-English speaking clients by appointment for public health services.

Maternity support services
MSS helps pregnant women find health insurance, local doctors or midwives and other community resources to support a healthy pregnancy. Individualized education and counseling services for women and their partners before and after birth. Provided in our clinic by a team of public health nurse, nutritionist and social worker.

Maternity screening
Office visit with a nurse to verify pregnancy, determine medical risk and financial status, and refer to appropriate prenatal services, including to DSHS for medical coupons, health care provider for maternity care, appropriate site for maternity support services and WIC Supplemental Food Program.
