Charter Statement:
The Mental Health/Substance Abuse Legislative Advocacy and Public Affairs Committee shall serve as a joint committee of the King County Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Administrative Board and the King County Mental Health Advisory Board responsible for providing information and advocacy to members of the Washington State Legislature on the need for services and funding to support persons with mental illness and/or substance abuse needs, and also to foster public awareness and understanding of mental illness and chemical abuse and dependency.
