Points of interest include:

Number of people served continues to increase while hours of service per client decrease.

More than 90% of people served are enrolled in Medicaid and the proportion of non-Medicaid individuals served continues to decline.

Tier distribution continues to shift toward 3A benefits, which increases the expenditure of outpatient funds.

Symptoms and functioning are improved for over three-quarters of clients by the end of their benefit period.

Both juvenile and adult voluntary inpatient admissions continue to decline.

We continue to be over our target census at Western State Hospital, however financial penalties have been discontinued as of June 2005 and a new bed allocation will be determined by July, 2006.
