Events and Trainings

King County Mental Health Services Cross Agency Systems Training (CAST)

CAST is a FREE one-day training for parents, family members, program and administrative staff, social services personnel, and others interested in learning more about the wide range of public social service systems that work with MHCADSD clients.

Different sessions are offered for child/youth services and adult services. CAST attendees will learn:

  • Whom each system serves
  • Goals of current programs
  • Services available to consumers
  • How to access services

The systems presenting at these trainings include: public assistance, special education, child welfare services, public health, alcohol and drug abuse services, developmental disabilities, juvenile justice, juvenile rehabilitation, mental health, crisis services, vocational resources, criminal justice, housing, adult protective services, and veterans' services.
