A specialized incident management team is on scene at the City of Pacific tonight, in response to a request from that community for help dealing with widespread flooding.

The Seattle Metro Incident Management Team -- made up of first responders from communities throughout King County -- was deployed by the King County Emergency Coordination Center. The team in Pacific City is specially trained in incident management of all types of hazards and includes fire, police, and emergency management professionals.

The team will work with the city in a supportive role, helping to coordinate to response and recovery efforts. Operations will be stationed at the City of Pacific’s EOC.
