Fair Share Program

It is the EPA's policy that recipients of EPA financial assistance award a "fair share" of subcontractor agreements for supplies, construction and services to small, minority and women-owned businesses.   

The Fair Share Requirements for Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) is 10% and 6%, respectively for King County projects that include EPA funds.

BRED monitors contractor compliance with the Fair Share requirements consistent with the EPA's program guidelines.
