Turn off faucets and collect excess water in a bucket

It’s a simple thing, but remembering to turn of faucets when not in use can really add up. Also try keeping a bucket close to sinks and showers to easily catch grey water to use for watering plants. Do you know how much water your faucets use? Check out the low-flow page to find out!

Did you know? Remembering to turn the faucet off while brushing teeth saves up to four gallons of water each day.

Helpful hints: When boiling water remember to fill the pot with only enough water to cover the food.
