• Project update, September 23 -- Geotechnical field investigations in Magnolia; work begins the week of September 26.

• Community meetings (Aug. 17 and 18, 2011) - King County project team met with neighbors to discuss project elements and need for this project, upcoming geotechnical investigations in the area, and respond to questions and concerns.

• A State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) was issued on May 23, 2011 for this project. Comments must be submitted by June 8, 2011. The SEPA DNS and environmental checklist can be viewed here.
• March 3, 2011 Presentation (PDF) at Magnolia Community Center (public meeting). View meeting announcement and  summary.
  Meeting topic: the Port of Seattle and the City of Seattle are discussing a possible land exchange and creation of a new waterfront park in the Smith Cove area where King County plans to build an underground CSO storage facility.
