King County has decided on a proposal for CSO control in each of the four project basins:

• Barton (December 2010)
• Murray (December 2010)
• North Beach (October 2010)
• South Magnolia (December 2010)

Public participation

You will have opportunities to inform the county’s decision process. Keep up to date and provide input by:

• Signing up for progress updates and meeting notices
• Learning about the problem and control approaches and factors used to evaluate CSO control alternatives
• Provide online input on alternatives for each project basin

Schedule

Key milestones of the decision process (PDF) include:

• Fall 2009 -- identify and evaluate a range of approaches for CSO control in basins
• Spring 2010 -- present alternatives to basin communities
• Fall 2010 -- decide on a proposal to submit for environmental review under State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA)
• December 2010 -- submit draft Facilities Plan (Barton and Murray, North Beach, South Magnolia) to Department of Ecology
• 2011 to 2013 -- complete design and permitting
• Late 2013 -- begin construction
