Conveyance/treatment – sending flows from the basin to an existing treatment plant

Pumping capacity is increased by expanding existing pump stations or building new pump stations and installing new pipelines to convey combined flows out of the basin to existing treatment facilities.

Key considerations

• All flow is sent to existing plants for treatment
• Construction is required over a much broader area
• Need to assure that problem is not shifted to a different downstream location
• Sufficient space required for new or expanded facilities
