The Barton Street Pump Station is an underground facility located next to the Fauntleroy ferry landing.
King County protects public health and the environment by conveying and treating the region's wastewater. Many of King County's wastewater facilities are more than 40 years old and do not meet current design standards. To ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Barton Street Pump Station, King County must upgrade it.
The pump station is located at 9005 Fauntleroy Way, SW. It is an underground facility located next to the Fauntleroy ferry landing. The pump station pumps wastewater to the Murray Avenue Pump Station and on to the county's regional treatment plant at West Point in Seattle.
The pump station, first constructed in 1958, will receive necessary improvements as follows:
| Design | 2009 - 2010 |
| Construction | Spring 2011 - spring 2013 |
King County is committed to being a good neighbor and welcomes your comments. We will work directly with the City of Seattle and the community throughout the project to ensure that suggestions and concerns are addressed.
