Brightwater Mitigation Package Summary (PDF, 176 KB) - In December 2005, King County completed a systemwide mitigation package that is the result of many meetings with the public and negotiations with jurisdictions, Tribal governments, and permitting agencies. Regional Wastewater Services Plan: Summary of the Executive's Process to Update the Brightwater System Siting Decision, July 2005 (PDF 78 KB), On July 27, 2005 the King County Executive reaffirmed his earlier selection of the Route 9 - 195th Street system alteranative for the Brightwater project.

On December 1, 2003, the King County Executive selected the proposed Brighwater system which is composed of a wastewater treatment plant at the Route 9 site, a conveyance pipeline along Northeast 195th Street and the King/Snohomish County line, and an outfall off Point Wells (PDF 395 KB).
