Construction activities - reclaimed water pipeline
When it comes online, Brightwater will produce about 7 million gallons of Class A reclaimed water each day for on- and off-site use, and eventually up to 21 million gallons per day as demand requires.
The construction of the reclaimed water distribution system includes:
- Installation of a reclaimed water pipe in the main conveyance tunnel, running from the treatment plant to the Ballinger Portal. This is being built as part of the conveyance tunneling and piping and will provide for future distribution as needed.
- Development of a reclaimed water line running through the Sammamish Valley, including:
- Installation of approximately 2.5 miles of new pipe
- Conversion of approximately 4.5 miles of existing pipeline for reclaimed water use
- Modifications to the existing conveyance system including work at the North Creek, Woodinville, and York pump stations.
Start-up and commissioning will be in concert with start-up of the Brightwater system.
