New Kirkland Pump Station

King County’s new Kirkland Pump Station will be larger than the existing facility to accommodate additional capacity. The building design, reviewed with the City of Kirkland, is intended to blend in with the area like the existing facility, rather than to create an architectural feature.

Park Lane and 3rd Street bus shelter

King County will restore the area of Park Lane by the Kirkland Pump Station to design standards developed with the City of Kirkland for the future Park Lane improvement project. Trees that are from the pump station site will be replaced as part of the Park Lane restoration. In addition to restoring Park Lane by the County’s pump station, funds were provided to the City of Kirkland for the entire Park Lane design.

A bus shelter will be built on 3rd Street using design elements from the new Transit Center.

Street Restoration

Areas of the Kirkland Avenue right-of-way affected by the force main installation will be restored.
