Bellevue Pump Station upgrade & force main installation

Bellevue Pump Station
(proposed design)
595 102nd Ave. S.E., Bellevue
To protect public health and the environment and ensure safe and reliable operations, the Wastewater Treatment Division will upgrade the Bellevue Pump Station facilities.
The pump station is located at Southeast Sixth Street and 102nd Avenue Southeast. It pumps about 8 million gallons per day of wastewater from west Bellevue to the Sweyolocken Pump Station near the Mercer Slough. From there, the wastewater flows to King County's South Treatment Plant in Renton.

What to expect
- King County is committed to being a good neighbor. Sound walls will muffle noise coming from the site and fencing erected around the work site will protect public safety.
- The project team will keep the community regularly apprised of the work schedule via e-mail and written notifications, and will be available to answer questions 24-hours a day via the project hotline: 206-296-4081.
- The most disruptive work will occur in the first year when crews demolish existing structures on site and build a temporary pump station bypass.
- Increased noise, dust and activity typical of a construction site. Heavy equipment will be in use at the construction site on most days.
- Increased truck traffic on Southeast 6th Street and 102nd Avenue Southeast.
- Most work will occur weekdays between 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Some work may be required at night when wastewater flows are lower.
