Bothell-Woodinville Interceptor sewer repair

Completed Fall 2010

The King County Wastewater Treatment Division repaired a severely corroded segment of the Bothell-Woodinville sewer line as part of the Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Corrosion Control Program. The Bothell-Woodinville Interceptor is located near the interchange for Highways 522 and 202 in Woodinville. The section that was repaired is immediately downstream of the Woodinville Pump Station, located just west of Wilmot Gateway Park, and runs parallel to the Sammamish River Trail.

Project duration

  • October – December 2010*

Hours of construction

  • Project mobilization is scheduled to begin the week of October 4 - 15, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
    • Installation of safety fencing
    • Clearing/site preparation
    • Erosion control
    • Traffic control along NE 178th Street
    • Bypass set-up
  • Primary construction work will occur Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

What to expect

  • Construction activity and equipment along north side of Sammamish River Trail in the area west of Wilmot Gateway Park.
  • Flaggers onsite to assist pedestrians and bicycles along the Sammamish River Trail
    • Pedestrians and bicyclists should remain alert and cautious when passing near the construction zone.

King County is committed to being a good neighbor during construction. The project team will work to minimize disruptions to community members working or using the trail near the construction zone.
