The section’s intent and purpose is to promote the use and understanding of our scientific data and information and to educate and share knowledge on the “value and benefits” of Environmental Sciences.

All articles are based on activities that are currently in the Science and Technical Support Section's work program. All files are provided in Adobe Acrobat format.

Features of the August 2009 Special Student Edition Issue:

The articles in this special edition of SciFYI were written by students participating in King County's Work Training Program. The 2009 program was funded by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act. The class assisted students with both work and school credit.

*Science Seminars are forums wherein county science staff present recent findings from their environmental monitoring programs. The Science Seminar provides an opportunity for sharing information between staff and with the public, decision-makers and interested environmental science professionals.
