King County Backwater ProgramThe WKCBW.ZIP file contains version 6.0 of the King County Backwater (WKCBW) program. This ZIP file contains the WKCBW.EXE executable file, and a WKCBW shortcut file. TO DOWNLOAD: Click the WKCBW.EXE file, and then click the RUN tab to verify, again click on the RUN tab for security purposes and finally the Unzip tab to download to the default C:\kc_swdm folder. The program is compiled with Lahey Fortran 90 and utilizes the Lahey virtual memory manager which is bound to the program. The self-extracting file will upgrade the WKCBW program found in the C:\kc_swdm file folder. Once down-loaded double click the file WKCBW.EXE to start or use it's shortcut icon. Recommend using the default subdirectory c:\kc_swdm\output. After setting the Working Directory and entering the Startup Parameters, click on the Project is in King County tab to get to the Backwater Main Menu.
KCBW Bug Report 10/23/06 The following reported bugs have been addressed in update version 6.0 of the King County Backwater (KCBW) program. 5) WKCBW should now run on all Windows platforms including Windows XP with the Service Pack II update. Minor changes made to accomodate abnormalities associated with the weir overflow routines.
FIX: Changes effective in Version 6.0. 4) WKCBW should now run on WINNT and WIN2000 platforms. A few other display fixes, help lines, and F2 help screens updated.
FIX: Changes effective in Version 5.30h. 3) When keyboard entries are made, Box Culvert Width and Height variables were being rounded down to the nearest 1.0 foot. In KCBW versions 5.30f and lower, the output would indicate that the rounding occurred. And results were calculated using the rounded number.
NOTE: workaround if using BWX executable data files: manually edit the BWX file to change the width/height. FIX: bug fixed, version 5.30g. The culvert routine will analyze fractions of feet for box culvert dimensions (in inches). 09/30/00 11:17 am 2) The culvert routines (round and box), when run with Executable (EXEC) data files, would set tailwater elevation to zero if user specified a single tailwater elevation (as opposed to a HW/TW file). This is a significant (but pretty obvious) bug for KCBW-EXEC file users.
FIX: bug fixed, version 5.30f. The culvert routine should be using tailwater data input by user in both interactive or EXEC mode. 02/29/00 03:31 pm 1) In the Data Utilities, Pipe Data Routine. If the user is revising an existing pipe data file and wishes to modify the last pipe (upstream), the program would require them to enter junction data at the inlet. By definition the last pipe of a network does not have an upstream junction. A workaround was to enter numbers, which the program would not write to the data file.
FIX: bug fixed, version 5.30e. The program now recognizes when the user is modifying the last pipe of a network and skips the upstream junction data entry part.
