2009 King County Stormwater Pollution Prevention Manual

2009 Stormwater Pollution Prevention ManualThe 2009 King County Stormwater Pollution Prevention Manual provides best management practices (BMP's) for managing stormwater on commercial, multi-family and residential properties.  The manual provides detailed information for businesses, residents, managers, and owners of property in unincorporated King County, and describes the actions we are all required to take to reduce the contamination of stormwater, surface water, and groundwater, to comply with Federal Clean Water Act requirements.

Pursuant to King County Code 9.12, Ordinance 16264, the County adopted rules outlined in the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Manual (SPPM). The purpose of this rule is to update the 2005 Stormwater Pollution Prevention Manual to conform to the requirements of King County’s Municipal Stormwater NPDES Permit. This update was adopted on January 9, 2009.

The Stormwater Pollution Prevention Manual is available for download in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.
