Beach assessments
Data collected by volunteers provides valuable information about the marine life on King County beaches. Knowing what plants and animals inhabit local beaches and their condition is important if we wish to maintain the special ecosystems, features and values of our area's shorelines. It is the beginning step in maintaining the beaches so that future generations can enjoy and use these areas as we do. We invite you to tour the individual beaches below and look at the data collected from surveys conducted in 1996 and 1997.
