The top eight problem aquatic weeds in King County

As part of the Lake Stewardship Program, identification cards were created for the top eight peskiest aquatic weed species. To learn more about these eight plants and how to spot them, click on the links below.

Emergent weeds on the shoreline:

Reed canary grass

Purple loosestrife

 

Floating weeds on the lake surface:

Water hyacinth

Submergent weeds under the lake surface:

Eurasian watermilfoil

Parrotfeather milfoil

Fanwort

Hydrilla

Brazilian elodea
